The “Fence Project”

If you have driven by Pathway Home or stopped in, you are sure to have noticed the fence that boarders our property to provide privacy to both our residents and families and to our neighbors on either side.

We had even more damage after a recent wind storm.

Posts have heaved out of the ground with the frost.

Our budget is not equipped to handle the cost of replacing the fence. Taking care of our residents and their families is our first priority.

We have been working with the MRB Group who have graciously committed to pay for the installation of a new fence.
We have started a special project fund and our first project is for our fence replacement. We have an estimate of approximately $16,000 to replace the fence.
Donations specifically for this project can be made with the donate button below.

We have been open for a year!

This week marks the one year anniversary of Pathway Home opening and taking our first resident. Since that time we have served 34 residents and their families. For us we have learned a lot in this past year. We have met some incredible people and we have been fortunate to be included in their families even if it is only for a brief time.
In the last year we have had a wedding here at the house, and we have “graduated” someone who did so well with us that she no longer qualified for hospice and was able to go back home.
Overall we have had the privilege to take care of many people in their final days. We have been honored to have been chosen by these people to come stay with us and let us help them and their families. We Thank You for that.
We also thank so many people from the community who have supported our efforts. We have a very dedicated group of volunteers who make our house a home for those who come to live with us. There are many individuals and organizations who have shown their support by making donations, not only monetary but of goods and services. We are grateful for all those who have helped us.
In the next year we plan to continue our mission of providing quality end of life care. We are also planning on adding an event to our calendar for a butterfly release and Celebration of Life for our residents that we have served and we plan to open this to the public.
We will also be having our Mother’s Day Flower Sale. We are taking orders for these beautiful 10 inch hanging baskets that will be ready for pick up by May 12th the day before Mother’s Day. We will have another fun filled evening at The Party House this summer and our Annual Fall Gala will be on September 28th at Ventosa Vineyard. We look forward to seeing everyone at these events.
