What’s going on with the fence? UPDATE October 2018

Update on the Fence…  the new fence has been going in and it is looking Fabulous!  What an improvement!  Generations Bank donated the last amount of money in order to have the entire cost of the new fence and installation covered. We also received donations from North St. Pharmacy, MRB Group and  Finger Lakes Industrial Cont. Corp as well as individual donations. Thank you to all!

That is the question everyone is asking. If you have driven by the house lately you will have noticed that the fence has started to come down. Thanks to board members Lynn Leiterman and Steve Gray the panels have been removed and the posts will soon also disappear in preparation for new fencing to be installed when the funds become available.
We are working with the MRB Group who have pledged monies for the project and Lowe’s is working with us to obtain the materials. The new fencing will be only in areas where we need to provide privacy for us and our neighbors which has significantly cut the cost.

Celebration of Life Butterfly Release

The First Celebration of Life Butterfly Release was held at Vince’s Park on June 2nd, 2018. Residents who have been part of the Pathway Home family for the last year were honored and the event was opened to the community. We had an overwhelming response from the community with 288 Painted Lady butterflies being released and over 200 names were read at the event. Inspirational readings and music provided by Bradley Ellis. The following video was sent to us from Dave Duprey at dupreyvideo.com. Thank you to him and his wife Darlene and to all that attended our event.

Unfortunately, after having nice weather all week the temperature was a little cool for the butterflies and not all of them wanted to take flight. We did gather them up and brought them over to Pathway Home and released them in one of our flower bed areas when it became warmer a little later in the day.
